Artist Statement
“Curiosity to creativity” best describes the journey that led me to transform Microsoft Excel—an unlikely medium—into a tool for algorithmic art. Since 2011, I’ve explored the intersection of mathematics and aesthetics, discovering art within patterns of logic and calculation. What began as a mathematical curiosity evolved into a visual language of structure, symmetry, and discovery.
About Me
As an INTP, I’m driven by curiosity, analysis, and creative problem-solving. I enjoy exploring ideas that challenge assumptions and crafting new solutions to old problems. I’d rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned. My work—and mindset—both thrive outside the box.
Artistic Philosophy
My early interests in math and art were separate pursuits: equations in Excel and creativity on canvas. Over time, instinct bridged the two. I realized that numbers generate structure—and structure, in turn, generates art.
My goal became to create objective art: visual forms born from mathematical rules rather than subjective bias. Starting with something as fundamental as counting, I developed an Excel-based system capable of producing infinite mosaics through the alteration of a single number.
The resulting pieces feel less created than discovered—as if the patterns were always there, waiting to be revealed. I still don’t fully understand why numbers form such natural geometric beauty, but since generating my first mosaic, I’ve been captivated by the art hidden within mathematics.
